PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
PERMASTIK™ Butyl Tape Premium Roof Repair Tape is a self-adhesive repair and flashing tape designed to immediately stop leaks and make a variety of roofing and waterproofing repairs. It will adhere to metal, wood, structural concrete, concrete block, brick, smooth BIJR, smooth SBS, smooth APP, EPDM, TPO, Hypalon and PVC roofs.
Manufactured with select thermoplastic elastomers, PERMASTIK™ Premium Roof Repair Tape provides a tough and durable repair. It's pressure sensitive properties allow a fast, clean and easy application.

PERMASTIK™ USES:
PERMASTIK™ can be used on: metal, wood, concrete, block, brick, built-up-roofs, SBS smooth (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene modified bitumen), EPDM and most other roofing substrates.
PERMASTIK™ is compatible to be top coated with most any Nationwide Protective Coating product like Elastomeric Roof Coating, Flat Roof Coating or For a High Solids Silicone Elastomeric Roof Coating check out our Best Silicone Roof Coating .

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Substrate should be clean, dry and free of dew, frost, oil, salt, dust and rust. Clean area first with a cloth and cleaner.
On metal roofs power wash and scrub with detergent to remove any oil or grime. Use a wire brush to remove rust and prime with METAL-PRIME RED-OX™ Rusted Metal Primer Sealer Red Iron Oxide.
For best results in cold temperature application, keep rolls in a warm environment and warm the substrate with hot air prior to application.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Cut to length. Shorter lengths (less than 4 ft) are easier to work with unless using a team of two or more applicators. Remove release film. Press in place using a gloved hand or a steel roller. Apply the exact length to predetermined location. Tape cannot be peeled up and reset. Always roll from the center out to remove trapped air pockets and fish mouths. Start in corners to eliminate "tenting". Coat adhered tape the same day with most any Nationwide Protective Coating product according to product instructions. Coat a minimum of 2" past tape on all sides on substrate. Selection of Nationwide Protective Coating product will depend on type of existing roof and application. Always follow application instructions and coverage rates on product labels.

PRECAUTIONS:
PERMASTIK™ will not adhere to silicone surfaces. For best results test adhesion on surfaces before applying. Do not store at temperatures above 100℉.
