WATERSEAL™ is a waterborne Acrylic Urethane with Silicone, Clear Sealer and Preservative for most concrete and masonry surfaces. It is a unique formula that retards efflorescence, chalking, erosion, cracking, moisture vapor penetration, mildew and other damaging effects due to water penetration. WATERSEAL™ has the durability of solvent based products, but gives the convenience of water clean up with no harmful fumes. It has excellent penetration on porous surfaces and good adhesion on non-porous surfaces.
WATERSEAL™ is a waterproofing, protective coating that highlights the natural beauty in the colors of the surface to which it is applied. It is a fast drying and non-yellowing clear gloss sealer finish. Gloss may be minimal but can be increased with multiple coats. Hazing may occur when excessive build up of the sealer is exposed to moisture.

WATERSEAL™ can be used on uncoated or previously coated stucco, masonry, cement, adobe, stone and brick. Concrete must cure at least 28 days before being sealed. For residential and commercial applications.
WATERSEAL™ may not be compatible over some previously coated surfaces such as products with silicone. To insure compatibility, test a small area and check for adhesion after 48 hours.
WATERSEAL™ is not recommended for traffic areas or floors. For floors and traffic areas inquire about CRETE-CLEAR™, Sealer and Preservative.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
For proper adhesion and penetration it is essential that the surface be properly prepared. Surface must be pressure washed with a water and chlorine solution using at least 1500 P.S.I. to remove all loose surface material. Rinse well with water only and allow to dry for at least 12 hours before applying WATERSEAL™. The surface must be completely dry and free from all wax, grease, oil, dirt, loose or flaking material, acid substance and soap deposits.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Stir well before using. Do not apply when temperatures are below 45 degrees Fahrenheit, or when humidity is very high. Do not apply to extremely hot surfaces. The surface must be dry and free of all moisture. Do not apply when sealer will be subjected to rain or heavy dew before it has had enough time to dry (approximately 1 to 2 hours). Drying time will vary from location to location depending on weather conditions.
Stir product occasionally during use. Apply using brush, roller or spray. Do not apply too heavily so that puddling occurs. When spraying, back roll with a thin nap roller cover. When rolling, use a thin nap roller cover. Sets to touch in approximately 1 hour, and dries in approximately 1 to 2 hours. Wait at least 2 hours before recoating. Two coats of WATERSEAL™ are recommended. Coating will appear to be blue, but will clear out as it dries. Do not thin this product; apply as it is from the container.
Sprayers:
Pump up stain sprayers can be used. Airless Sprayers may be too powerful, adjust pressure and other settings to spray a uniform amount of product without making runs, back roll with a thin nap roller cover.
CLEAN UP:
Clean up all spills, tools and overspray immediately while the coating is still wet with warm soapy water.
GLOSS CHARACTERISTICS:
For increased gloss, multiple coats can be applied, but sealer will also be more sensitive to blushing with increased film buildup.
ASTM D523 (Standard Test Method for Specular Gloss) Gloss will be 70-80 degrees when applied to a non-porous substrate and when applied over a latex roof coating it will be 50-70 degrees.
WATERSEAL™ MAINTENANCE:
For continued protection, recoat surface using WATERSEAL™ approximately every 3 to 5 years, or when desired gloss is no longer present.
