FLOOR GRIP™ is a premium grade polypropylene additive designed as an anti-skid, anti-slip material. It will mix easily in all types of floor paints, stains and clear sealers. It is designed to help prevent slips and falls. Unique technology provides safety without a gritty or sandy looking surface like other non-skid products.
It will not change the color or property of the product to which it is added when in compliance with the manufacturer’s proportion specifications. Excellent for use in clear coats or clear finishes or clear sealers, but can be used in most any pigmented or colored paint or coating. Color is white but turns clear in dispersion.
Very low density and low specific gravity greatly reduces settling in paints and stains.
A good anti-slip profile can be achieved with as little as 4 ounces of FLOOR GRIP™ per gallon of product. You can use up to 8 ounces of FLOOR GRIP™ per gallon of product for extra protection. It has excellent solvent resistance, is stable in all types of coatings including water based latex, solvent and baked enamels. FLOOR GRIP™ has a controlled particle size of 30 mesh.
FLOOR GRIP™ can be added to paints, stains, clear coats, etc. that will be applied to floors, patios, pool decks, walkways, stairways, ramps, ladders, wet areas, marine uses and other applications.
PROPORTION SPECIFICATIONS:
The recommended amount to add per gallon of paint or stain is 4 ounces of FLOOR GRIP™. Up to 8 ounces of FLOOR GRIP™ per gallon of product can be added for extra protection. Do not add more than 10 ounces of FLOOR GRIP™ per gallon of product.
MIXING:
Stir thoroughly. Stir occasionally to insure distribution of the mix.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Refer to the Surface Preparation of the manufacturer’s data sheet for the specific paint or stain to which FLOOR GRIP™ will be added.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Refer to the Application Procedure of the manufacturer’s data sheet for the specific paint or stain to which FLOOR GRIP™ will be added. Use either brush or roller.
TWO COAT APPLICATION:
FLOOR GRIP™ should only be used in the final and last coat of the finished application. You may wish to test an area before total application to check for desired performance.

FLOOR GRIP™ is compatible with most water-based and solvent-based floor coatings, including: Epoxy floor coatings, Acrylic floor paints, Concrete stains, Polyurethane coatings, Clear sealers, Latex paints, Solvent-based, enamels. Its low-density polypropylene formula stays suspended better than many traditional grit additives, helping provide a more uniform finish throughout application.
