PERMACLEAR™ is a Clear Glaze Waterproofing Rejuvenating Roof Sealer Finish and Clear Sealer. A 100% Acrylic sealer designed to effectively penetrate porous surfaces and to provide an excellent film formation over non-porous or previously coated surfaces to rejuvenate, preserve, protect, waterproof and beautify. Eliminates harmful water intrusion into and onto substrate by the sheeting off of water, thus reducing the environment for mold, mildew and fungi formation and cleaning the roof of dirt and pollution. Ideal for fiberglass skylights.
PERMACLEAR™ is a long wearing Waterproofing Clear Gloss Roof Sealer Finish for use on most any previously coated or uncoated interior or exterior surfaces including: asphalt or fiberglass shingles, wood, shakes, plywood, clapboard, primed metal, galvanized, modified bitumen, aluminum, tin, copper, asbestos, asphalt, urethane, polyester, Styrofoam, adobe, brick, stucco, concrete, clay, masonry, slate, slab and various other substrates. Ideal for fiberglass skylights. For residential, commercial and industrial applications.
For proper adhesion and penetration it is essential that the surface be properly prepared. Pressure wash all surfaces with a water and chlorine solution using a maximum of 1500 P.S.I. (for shingles or other granulated roofing surfaces use low pressure) to remove any previous coatings, dirt, grease, and other foreign materials, especially mold, mildew and algae. Scrub, if necessary. PERMACLEAR™ will resist mildew growth, but will not kill mildew already on the surface! Apply only to a sound, well prepared roof surface. Roof surface must be completely dry and free of all moisture. Patch any holes, cracks, seams, etc., with a Clear Acrylic paintable caulk before applying the sealer. Smooth new wood should be lightly sanded with 80 to 100 grit sandpaper to remove mill glaze.
Nationwide Original PERMACLEAR™ can be applied with a brush, roller or sprayer. Pump up sprayers can be used. Airless Sprayers may be too powerful, adjust pressure and other settings to spray a uniform amount of product without making runs, back roll with a thin nap roller cover.
Physically inspect the surface area for missing or damaged building materials. Replace and/or repair all damaged areas. Patch any holes, cracks, seams, etc., with a Clear Acrylic paintable caulk before applying the sealer.

Make sure PERMACLEAR™ is completely dry before proceeding with additional coats. PERMACLEAR™ dries in approximately 1-2 hours, but it is recommended to allow 2-4 hours between coats to allow for variations in weather and thickness. PERMACLEAR™ continues to cure for up to two weeks after application. Dry times are dependent upon the thickness of application, humidity and weather. Some conditions, such as low temperature, high humidity, evening and morning dew, can increase curing times.
